Not Really

While the online Apple boasts that you can say “anything” by engraving it on the back of your ipod, its a lie. Even though the engraving is free,and you are paying to purchase the ipod, naturally you shoul be able to write what ever comes to mind. Not the case. Things that are deemed ris-kay by apple standards aren’t allowed to be engraved. Apparently Apple doesn’t like potty mouths and won’t allow swear words to be engraved. Its not that the machine jams up and locks when it is in the proccess of engraving the letters “F-U-C-K”, its just that apple won’t allow paying customers to enjoy their freedom of speech/engravement.

On a side not, engravements aren’t really neccessary.

itunes 8.0.1 is Razor Blade Sharp

After researching what the hell the itunes installer meant by “error code 2738″ and fixing it i was finally able to upgrade to the newest version of itunes. I was surprised to find out Its not just a regular security update, its filled with a lot of meaningfull stuff that is quite handy.

One of the biggest things in 8.0.1 is the Genius Playlist. I can’t quite put my finger on how it works but i creates playlists based upon a song your are currently listening to, and it works better that you’d expect.  I was listening to some “rap” and the genius playlist managed to call up some pretty great tunes that did have revelance to the original song.  However it doesn’t work for all of you songs in your collection.  I have some unrealeased songs from an Indy band, which made the Genius function seemed to spazz out, I guess it only works on purchased songs or songs found exclusively in the itunes store.  The genius playlist also calls up alot of songs that you might have neglected due to the large size of your library – awesome. I only found I had to make some corrections to the playlist it created because one-I hate Kanye, and two- some songs didn’t belong. Over all the Genius feature seems too elaborate to work, but it surprises you when you see that it works just as it should.

Another great feature that isn’t elaborate but more eclectic is the new way your music library is displayed. Its a mix of coverflow and song lists, it looks awesome. Overall this new itunes version is great and gives your music collection, that once seemed to be growing stale, some replay value!

Fox 11 Projects Obama!

It was such an immense win. I was expecting to have a result untill late at night. Maybe even midnight. However Obama won by such a large margin the decision was obvious. I watched for close to 4 hours of coverage. Continualy fliping channels looking for the right newscast to watch. I kept going back to FOX11 because they seemed to do it best. Many news stations say they called first, but Fox was on the ball all night. They projected every state correct. They were also the first to project Obama causing an avalanche of news stations to follow. The list is long, and change is here. Most importantly Obama is here. Amercia has a lot of work to do, but with Obama and Biden at its side America will come out swinging.

Election 08!

Its on. Its been on for quite a few hours as people have been voting since early this morning. It feels like a whole lot more people are actually voting this year. Thats great. I guess MTV finally got through to the youth, thanks P. Diddiy :] Im wanting to wait till as late at night as i can to see who really wins, cus apparently elections are a way for the news to have a field day. The news is nonstop, and will probably continue that way bringing meaningless updates untill it gets down to the wire.  This late in the game you can’t count on the early polls, this is the real deal, due or die, now or never, ITS ON! Im really excited to see who wins.
